Symptom:
 
You need to download Service Pack 3 for PaperPort 9 Deluxe but using Live Update does not install the patch.
 
Cause:
 
OEM versions of PaperPort, meaning that PaperPort was provided with your scanner, have the Live Update feature disabled. Therefore you must download the patch from our website then install it as listed in the below instructions.

Note: These instructions do not apply to retail copies of the PaperPort software. This patch was designed for the OEM copies that ship with your scanner.
 
Solution:
 
Note: Users on a secure system will need to have Administrator rights to install the update. Check with your system administrator for details.

This service pack will only work on PaperPort version 9.1.0.497 Deluxe not Office. Go to "Help" then "About PaperPort" to check if you have "Version 9.0 (9.1.0.497)".
 
Instructions:
  1. Click here to download PaperPort 9 Deluxe Service Pack 3
  2. Save the file to a location on the system that is easy to access, such as the Windows Desktop.
  3. Exit out of PaperPort 9 and any other applications running on the system.
  4. Insert the installation CD that came with your scanner into your computer's CD drive.
  5. Exit out of the CD installation menu; the the CD in the CD drive.
  6. Install the service pack by double clicking on the "pp9sp3.exe" executable file.
  7. When the patch has completed its installation, restart the computer.
  8. To verify that the patch has been installed, launch PaperPort and go to "Help" then "About PaperPort."
    Confirm that the Version is 9.2.0.810
